Checking amazon.com.au from outside Australia misleads you in a specific way: with no Australian delivery address set, Amazon serves an export view of the page with much of the detail stripped out. Every check here pins an Australian address first, so what gets stored is the domestic page a shopper in Australia sees.

On that page each daily check records over 90 fields: the price in Australian dollars, the Buy Box winner and whether the offer is Amazon, FBA or FBM, the three leading offers, the availability line, the standard and fastest delivery dates and their fee, the Best Sellers Rank and category, the rating and review counts, the badges and coupons, and the listing’s own content.

Australia is another of the five stores outside Keepa’s coverage, and it is the one where distance does the most damage to manual checks. The nightly run happens on Sydney time, so the figures are on screen before a European or American seller starts the day.

What is different on amazon.com.au

  • The page prints a bare dollar sign. Australian prices are stored as A$ so they can never be read as US dollars in an export or a chart.
  • Seen from abroad without a local address, amazon.com.au returns that stripped export page — most likely what your own VPN check shows you, and not what we record.
  • Pages are in English and read with the same wording rules as amazon.co.uk, so an alert phrase that works on the UK store works here unchanged.
  • The Australian run is scheduled on Sydney time, hours ahead of every other marketplace we cover, so its rows are the first to update each day.
  • Delivery dates and the dispatch countdown are recorded on every check but cannot raise an alert, because they roll forward daily and would fire constantly. The delivery fee is a number, so an alert can catch free delivery disappearing.

How a daily check on amazon.com.au works

  1. Add your Australian ASINs; each becomes a row that is read from an Australian delivery address.
  2. The nightly run reads them on Sydney time at an hour you choose, storing a dated snapshot of every field.
  3. Alerts can watch the Buy Box winner, a price in Australian dollars, the availability wording, the rank or the review count, arriving per check or as a single daily email.
  4. Pull the rows out as CSV, into Google Sheets, or from the read-only API, filtered by marketplace.

The Australian store is priced like the rest: $0.10 per ASIN per month with 30 daily checks included, so 50 listings cost $5 a month. Every new account starts on a 30-day trial of 10 products at 10 checks a day, with no card. See pricing in full.

Track the same ASIN in another Amazon store

When the same ASIN sells in Europe too, track it in each store rather than assuming the Australian figures follow the European ones; they are separate rows with separate prices, Buy Box winners and ranks.

Common questions

Why does amazon.com.au look different when I check it myself?

Because a visitor without an Australian delivery address is shown an export version of the page with much of the detail missing. Our checks set an Australian location before reading, so the stored page is the domestic one.

Which currency is recorded for amazon.com.au?

Australian dollars, written A$ in the tracker. The page itself shows a bare dollar sign, so the prefix is added deliberately: an export mixing Australian and US prices under one symbol would be unusable.

Does Keepa track amazon.com.au?

No. Australia sits outside Keepa’s 11 marketplaces, as of our August 2026 check, along with the Dutch, Swedish, Polish and Belgian stores. A daily reading of the live page is the alternative, and the history starts the day you add an ASIN.

What time does the Australian check run?

Overnight on Sydney time, at an hour you set. That is well ahead of Europe and the Americas, so Australian rows are usually the first of the day to update.

Do you check from a specific Australian city?

Australia is tracked as one country-level location. The delivery address used sits in Canberra and is the same on every check, so the readings stay comparable; postcode-level choice is offered only for the US and Canadian locations.
